  • A recent Fishbowl survey of 18,000+ respondents reported that 41% of U.S. agency workers are considering moving somewhere more affordable.
  • 59% of San Francisco respondents and 57.9% of those in New York are thinking about moving to a more affordable location, per Ad Age.

And indefinite WFH could offer more than never having to pay for pizza in pennies again: Last week, Digiday reported that about 27% of agency employees have seen more attention and care from their managers since going WFH full time.

COVID-19’s subsequent recession and layoffs simply sped up the process of scaling down agency extravagance as more marketers gravitate towards a project-based relationship with agencies rather than one based on retainer fees.
