Hires and departures

Ogilvy One gave Kent Wertime global CEO duties; he’ll continue to serve as co-CEO of Ogilvy APAC.

IPG’s MullenLowe is parting ways with its global CEO, Kristen Cavallo, who is leaving to work on social and political causes.

Saatchi & Saatchi hired new ECD Elaine Cox, who previously held the same role at 72andSunny.

FCB Chicago tapped Pedro Pérez, a Dentsu alum, to be its chief creative officer.

Barbarian hired Joe Maglio as its CEO. He’ll also continue to be CEO of McKinney.

Havas CX brought Publicis vet Arthur Fullerton on board as CTO.

Droga5 hired a new worldwide chief creative officer, Pelle Sjoenell. His previous stints included CCO positions at Activision Blizzard and BBH.

Account wins, losses, and reviews

General Mills kicked off a global creative agency review. Right now GM has various agencies doing creative work for its brands; Stagwell’s Anomaly, for instance, helms creative for brands including Reese’s Puffs.

McDonald’s awarded Wieden+Kennedy NY its US Happy Meal account. Omnicom’s DDB was the incumbent.

Fogo de Chão, a Brazilian steakhouse chain, tapped Gale to be its media and creative AOR.

Jägermeister partnered with creative shop Glow for social media work. The shop’s clients have included the NBA and Spotify.

PMG is the new media AOR for Solo Stove. You may remember Solo Stove from its partnership with Snoop Dogg last year, when he claimed he’d decided to “give up smoke.”

New divisions, offices, acquisitions, etc.

Publicis Razorfish formed Creator Colab, an in-house team of creators and strategists. The offering will work on social strategy and content creation for brands.

IPG’s Carmichael Lynch will absorb Philadelphia marketing comms agency Tierney as of May 1.

Alex Woods, a Droga5 and Accenture Song alum, debuted Unrestricted Free Agency, a creative marketing shop that works with companies that earn anywhere from $100 million to $500 million in annual revenue.

McCann shut down its 215 McCann agency, resulting in some layoffs.

Wieden+Kennedy alums debuted their own shop, Someplace; clients include Moncler.
