Each Tuesday, we’ll be spotlighting Marketing Brew’s readers in our new Coworking series. If you’d like to be featured, introduce yourself here.

Colleen Daly is a content and community manager at food company Simple Mills in Chicago, where she’s “responsible for planning, creating, and posting and monitoring all social media content.”

What marketing trend are you most optimistic about? TikTok. I think the opportunities here are endless, and they’ve reminded people that posting doesn’t have to be perfect, it just needs to be engaging.

One thing we can’t guess from your LinkedIn profile? I spent months after college living in Florence, Italy, studying the Mediterranean Diet. Afterward, I started teaching localized cooking classes focused around making healthy food taste good!

Favorite project you’ve worked on? We recently hosted a local event in Chicago to support our first-ever national ad campaign. We brought in an amazing muralist to a local Chicago coffee shop to create a beautiful OOH marketing piece, followed by a local event with free coffee, Simple Mills products, and more!

One marketing-related podcast, social account, or series you’d recommend? I LOVE “Link in Bio.” It’s a social media-focused newsletter written by former Bon Appetit social manager Rachel Karten. It brings a BTS view on social to life via real social media managers and creators.
